About us
We believe limits are meant to be redefined.
Mount Sermon Outdoors exists because the outdoors belongs to everyone. We're here to prove it.
Our story
Why we started.
Mount Sermon Outdoors was born out of a simple belief: that a person's disability should never be the reason they can't experience the wonder of the outdoors. Our founders saw firsthand the barriers that exist — financial, logistical, emotional — and decided to do something about it.
What started as a small project to help a few families in their community has grown into a mission-driven organization serving individuals with a wide range of physical and cognitive disabilities. Every adventure we plan is a testament to what's possible when someone refuses to accept limits as permanent.
We believe that access to nature isn't a privilege — it's a right. And we're committed to fighting for that right one adventure at a time.

Years in special needs care
Our team brings over a decade of experience working directly with individuals with disabilities — not just in the outdoors, but in daily life and rehabilitation.
100%
We handle everything
Logistics, equipment, guides, accessibility planning — all of it is handled by us so you can focus on the experience, not the details.

Cookie-cutter trips
We've never once used a template. Every adventure is custom-designed around the individual, because no two people are the same.
